Candleholder for the Sui Regulators, meaning his job is to keep track of powerful beings that split off from an ancient creature after it was defeated. He takes his job very seriously.
... He takes just about everything very seriously. Zuo Le isn't the best at just kicking back and relaxing, and bless his little heart he really puts his all into everything he does to some mixed results. Slowly learning to be less inflexible as time goes on. He's a work in progress on that front, but he's still young.
