As per this announcement, I will unfortunately be wrapping up the game's plot in approximately two months! You can expect endgame to be around early December sometime. Thank you SO MUCH everyone for being to deeply understanding and supportive as I make this difficult decision. . . and I am delighted that so many of you are willing and eager to stick around as the game plays out ;w;/ RELATED TO THAT, let us talk about how things will work from here on out!

APPS ARE STILL OPEN AND WILL REMAIN OPEN FOR THE DURATION OF THE GAME! Both new characters and returning characters are welcome! Naturally if you app someone new please be prepared for a brisk two-month jaunt through your CR. That said! I still encourage new players to app because the metaplot of the game is relatively simple and will be easy to understand! As a mod, my number one priority is also CR building, so a lot of the plot things coming up will encourage the development and deepening of your bonds.

For reapps, just re-submit your initial app and I will place you back on the team you were before! So long as you want it ofc.

I'm still going to tentatively keep a character cap in place (around 35ish) but will probably be a little gentler about it, especially for returning players/characters. Even if we're at player cap, please feel free to toss in an app! You will probably be placed so long as we aren't going over like. . . 45 characters.

The next minigame is going to be on the weekend of November 1 - 3. It will be big and bad!! Expect characters to be put through the wringer. I initially said it'd be PvP, but now that I've got TWO MONTHS to give you plot, it will actually be more PvE! But you will have chances to dunk on other characters during it if you do want some PvP, I promise.

Haha, wow! Someone died! SO LET'S TALK ABOUT IC DEATH CONSEQUENCES!

When a character dies, they will wake up in an intangible body right next to their own corpse. Yes, it is kind of spooky! The school around them is mostly the same, but they will note that the sky is a dark, blood red. It is always nighttime on this side of the school, and the moon shines down upon them from above like a spotlight. The shadows cast by the moon's glow churn and broil, like they're ready to reach out and consume the dead character's spirit. Touching these shadows imparts an icy feeling of despair, mourning and oblivion. Characters will feel like the shadows are oblivion, which is where all dead souls are supposed to go!! Right??

That might be true, but-for some of the more powerful spooks that haunt the school, who are capable of bringing back the dead. BUT. . . FOR A PRICE. Anyone who dies will have a big bad NPC spooked RNG'd for them. That spook will then bring the character back so long as they pay the toll with a piece of their soul. This will be represented by 1/3rd of their flower tattoo fading from existence, leaving only 2/3rds behind.

Characters may die three times. After the third, death is permanent. Theoretically they wouldn't have any more pieces of their soul left to give away, right??

If characters do not accept the deal offered by the NPC spooks, then they will be consumed by the shadows and thrust into oblivion. This is a permanent drop that you cannot reapp from.

All revived characters wake up in the nurse's office with their wounds healed. This does include the reattachment of any limbs that may have been lost during the death process!! They will feel a sense of hollow emptiness in their chest as their body readjusts to the missing pieces of their soul. They will also awaken with a new flower tattoo associated with the ghost that took their soul imprinted over their death wound.

ALL OF THAT SAID, if your character is dying, please let me know!! I won't be threading out negotiations with each NPC ghost, but I will be RNGing which ghost has their soul now and also giving you a flower motif for your death wounds. HAVE FUN AND DIE RESPONSIBLY, FRIENDS. ♥
